Constructing Excellence Manchester corporate members Beverley Clifton Morris Ltd are celebrating after they were Highly Commended at the recent Constructing Excellence National Awards.
Selected for the Innovation Category BCM were recognised for their Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Liverpool John Moores University focusing on Life Cycle Costing in Construction, enabling the delivery of better buildings with lower running costs and help make the business case for PASSIVHAUS investments.
The project, led by Dr Haniyeh Mohammadpourkarbasi identifies the most cost effective methods of carbon and energy reductions using detailed BIM and DSM models. Dr Mohammadpourkarbasi said, “The project continually improves our ability to provide clients with objective building performance data, identifying where additional value can be delivered in our designs and provide a commercial basis for lowering carbon in the built environment.”
BCM has been providing greener, more sustainable building services design solutions to a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors since 2002 and are leaders in electrical and mechanical design, with an established reputation through their work on many high profile projects.
