Green specification – Minimising Environmental Impact in the Construction Sector
14 November, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
FREEWith the Government’s increasing focus on sustainable development, many clients are recognizing the need to prove that their buildings are built with sustainability in mind. The sourcing, manufacturing, use and ultimate disposal of materials and components must take account of their environmental impacts, including those affecting climate, biodiversity and air quality, and embracing ethical considerations of extraction impacts, labour and health.
This seminar, with Tony Woodford of BRE, will consider the whole life issues and choices which need to be informed by these considerations and look at the latest guidance to help us to understand the process of responsible sourcing and specification of products used in the construction industry, considering a framework for the organisational governance, supply chain management and environmental and social aspects that must be addressed in order to ensure their effective delivery.
When: Wednesday 14th November
Time: 8 – 10am
Where: Trowers and Hamlins LLP, 55 Princess Street, Manchester M2 4EW
