SUMMARY:Futureproofing Construction
DESCRIPTION:Constructing Excellence\, the University of Salford\, Salford City College and Salford City Council are seeking help from construction industry organisations within the North West to act as mentors and offer pledges of employment opportunities to Interns & Apprenticeships. \nThe three organisations are collaborating with two north west construction companies; Whitfield & Brown Limited and Seddon Construction\, who in the true sense of collaboration are acting as facilitators working together to help form a “route map” for people considering a career in construction. \nAn event being held on 23rd March 2017 at UOS Mediacity will see a variety of key note speakers addressing the challenges being faced\, how we can collectively positively promote construction\, entice and encourage young people into the industry and how we can meet the aspirational goals set by the government with the provision of skills to meet demand. \nYou can make your pledge by getting in touch with danny.cross@vaclensa.com and a pledge sign up form will be sent to you.
