David has spent over 20 years working in client facing roles overseeing and delivering projects and programmes relating to sustainability and procurement, with a specific focus on zero carbon, retrofit and innovation. His work on economic development, regeneration and construction (real estate and infrastructure) schemes, brings together public and private sector partners and he also delivers strategic policy projects at the individual organisation, regional and national levels. Currently, he is Programme Director for a national government programme that has delivered over £1.2b of retrofit funding into the housing sector.

Locally, David is a member of The Mayor of Greater Manchester’s ‘Retrofit Taskforce’, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Low Carbon and Commercial Buildings Challenge Groups and Electricity Northwest’s Sustainability Advisory Panel.

Outside of work, David is a leader at an Explorer Scout Unit, Chair of a primary school Governing Body, Director of a community owned hydro-electric company and a Trustee of a community environmental charity.
