A Lean Approach to Housing –  for improved productivity and better utilisation of limited resources

14 March, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

£150.

The Farmer Review highlighted the issue of workforce and skill shortages, recently echoed by the Federation of Master Builders who expressed particular concerns about Brexit.

If we are to deliver the housing target of 300,000 pa with the same or reduced workforce and skills we need to make radical changes in what and how we deliver. The adoption of Lean Construction is going to be essential.

Our speakers will explain the challenges and opportunities this represents, discussing both the supporting evidence and the practical solutions to achieving this on a large scale.

An introduction by Derek Drysdale, Director and Trustee of the Lean Construction Institute – UK, will be followed by a presentation by Chris Lee.

Chris qualified as an Architect but has been actively involved in housing projects across Europe as both designer and developer.

He is an Associate of Delta Partners practicing lean construction in large scale residential projects in France, Luxembourg and Belgium and will demonstrate the benefits of adopting lean practice in case studies.
